I am finding as I pray through the Psalms that God is showing me more and more –
Who He Is
He’s reminding me the He fills every hole we might have.
Psalm 4
For the choir director: A psalm of David, to be accompanied by stringed instruments.
1 Answer me when I call to you,
O God who declares me innocent.
Free me from my troubles.
Have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
2 How long will you people ruin my reputation?
How long will you make groundless accusations?
How long will you continue your lies? Interlude
3 You can be sure of this:
The Lord set apart the godly for himself.
The Lord will answer when I call to him.
4 Don’t sin by letting anger control you.
Think about it overnight and remain silent. Interlude
5 Offer sacrifices in the right spirit,
and trust the Lord.
6 Many people say, “Who will show us better times?”
Let your face smile on us, Lord.
7 You have given me greater joy
than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine.
8 In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.

Oh Lord, Even though I am steeped in sin, like an old tea bag, through Jesus you find me innocent. I am so very thankful for that.
No matter what trouble comes my way, You hear me when I call. You set me free from the things that hound me.
It is true, people will speak out against me, not agree with me even lie about me. What can I do about it? Not much!
But you, Lord –
You set me apart, close to you.
You answer me when I call.
Help me to hear Your voice above all the other noise in life.
Many days, anger and impatience get the best of me. Teach me to sleep on it, before I say one word.
When I come into Your presence in worship, in thanksgiving, with the first fruits of my day help me to have the right attitude.
I know I can trust you Lord, above all else.
So often I ask you to make everything perfect, to make every day great. I want You smiling on me all the time.
You give me something greater. Greater than the earthly perfection I am looking for.
You give me peace. So much peace that I can lay my head down at night, close my eyes and sleep, knowing that you keep me safe from each day’s troubles. Amen and Amen
