Ever get stuck in the desert of regret? Actions and words we wish we could take back along with missed opportunities to do or say something good and encouraging. God has made a way for us to name them and move past them, if we will bring them to Him.
Father, You see all of my regrets, my mistakes. I refuse to dwell in them and let them destroy me, I choose to bring them to You. I lay them down and pick up Your salvation. You are faithful to forgive me and to wash my sin. I’m finished looking back at the old things and choose to look ahead. Thank you for doing a new thing in me and making a road for me to press forward.
For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. 2 Corinthians 7:10
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
