She wears her salvation like a helmet.
The cross was ours to bear. Our sin says, death is what we deserve. Christ Jesus hung there humiliated, beaten, bleeding in unbearable pain until he could not take in another breath. Salvation is
You see, we needed Jesus to die. There was no other way. He is salvation.
Our salvation is such a precious gift and the price was high and no other gift that can compare. Our hearts know it, sometimes our mind forgets. We will fight many battles in our own mind. That my sisters, is not a fun place to be, the great news is …we don’t have to stay there. We have the power of taking our own thoughts captive.
When we slip our helmet on daily, we renew our minds and remind ourselves of Who’s we are. If we allow it, it will change everything.
The question is what does reminding ourselves of our salvation and renewing our mind look like?
It looks like this… So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. Romans 12:2 Msg
How do we Live Life – Wearing our Salvation?
Live it– Each morning as our eyes flutter open we say, “Lord my life is and offering to You, I lay it out before You. This day- in this life.
Embrace It – “I know I may not see the big picture, Lord. Take this ordinary day of mine and use it for Your glory
Stand in It – “Lord, help me not to fall into the culture around me. Remind me to only adjust to Your culture and then stand.”
Don’t Compare It – “Lord, keep my eyes firmly fixed on You, help me not to compare my life with another’s.”
Flexible in It – “Lord help me to be me bendable and changeable to Your Will through out this day. Bring out the best in me! “
Because of Salvation there is not a day that comes along that God doesn’t go with us, we do not need to fear. Let’s put on our helmets that protect our minds and live each day as an offering. When we live each day with these goals in mind, others will see women who are strong, clear headed, know how to make decisions and walk in the wisdom of Jesus. The truth is self confidence can be shattered in a moment, but God Confidence is unshakable.
